Catherine Mc Govern is a Partner with PKF Tax Consulting. She joined the firm in 2000 and was appointed a Tax Director in 2004. She previously worked with Ernst & Young and has over 10 years tax experience.
Catherine provides her clients with comprehensive tax advice, enabling them to realise the full tax implications of various business transactions. She advises on wide ranging tax structures which include property development, retirement and inheritance tax planning and business/corporate restructuring. Catherine also provides advice on BES, seed capital schemes and the acquisition of shares by employees.
In relation to property transactions, Catherine provides tax advice from the point of acquisition to the development, leasing, retention and disposal of a property for a variety of clients. She has experience of structuring capital allowance schemes for Section 23 properties, crèches and holiday homes. In recent years she has also specialised in revenue amnesty and marital separation settlements.
Catherine is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Irish Taxation Institute. She also graduated from Dublin City University with a B.A in Accounting and Finance.
